Located on 35 beautiful acres in Niskayuna, New York, the retirement community offers 82 one- and two-bedroom apartments and 16 two-bedroom cottages.  All residences feature fully-equipped kitchens, individually controlled heating and air conditioning and on-site storage.

Retire in SchenectadyA light-filled commons area is the centerpiece of Glen Eddy. Fine dining is just steps away in the main Van Curler Dining Room or outdoor patio dining area. The Bistro/Stockade Grille Room offers lighter, more casual fare. Invite family and friends to dine with you anytime or entertain them in the DeWitt Clinton private dining room. A private guest suite is also available for you to reserve for your guests.

  • Glen Eddy Resident Service Advisor Program
    We are pleased to offer our Resident Service Advisor Program (RSAP), included in your monthly service fee. Our trained Resident Advisor serves as a liaison between you and any outside services or resources that you may need.
  • Wellness Program
    The program includes a Wellness Director responsible for implementing all nutrition, exercise and fitness classes.
  • Technology in Action at Glen Eddy
    Our technical staff is available to install your computer equipment and connection for internet access.  Glen Eddy has a Resident Portal which provides residents with online access to community information and direct links to newspapers and other sites of interest. Residents can also use the Resident Portal to submit a variety of electronic requests including maintenance, computer and telephone work orders, transportation, guest suite reservations, and absence forms. Glen Eddy has two in-house broadcasting channels to broadcast movies and information on upcoming and routine events, resident meeting dates, administrative notices and other miscellaneous information pertinent to the Glen Eddy community.

Traveling South on I-87

Exit right at Exit 6 to Rt. 7 west (Schenectady).
Travel west on Rt. 7 for 7.2 miles.
Proceed to the farthest left lane following Rt. 7 to Balltown Road.
Turn left onto Balltown Road.
Travel south on Balltown Road for 1.3 miles.
Turn left onto Consaul Road traveling east for 1 mile.
Turn left onto Glen Eddy Drive. Follow campus signs to your destination. 

From the West (Buffalo)
Traveling East on I-90

Exit at Exit 26 to 890 east (Schenectady).
Proceed through the toll booth veering to the far left to follow 890 east – Schenectady.
Travel east on 890 for 6.2 miles to Exit 7.
Exit at Exit 7 – Rt. 7 east (Troy).
You are now on The Crosstown (which is Rt. 7) traveling north for 8/10 of a mile to Consaul Road.
Turn right onto Consaul Road traveling east for 9/10 of a mile to Balltown Road.
Cross through the intersection continuing east on Consaul Road for 1 mile.
Turn left onto Glen Eddy Drive. Follow campus signs to your destination. 

From the East (Boston)
Traveling West on I-90

Follow I-90 west to Exit 25 – 890 west.
Travel west on 890 for 2.5 miles to Exit 7.
Exit right at Exit 7 – Rt. 7 east (Troy).
You are now on The Crosstown (which is Rt. 7) traveling north for 8/10 of a mile to Consaul Road.
Turn right onto Consaul Road traveling east for 9/10 of a mile to Balltown Road.

Traveling North on I-87

Bear left to follow I-90 west.
Follow I-90 west to Exit 25 – 890 west.

After 5.1 miles, take exit 25 toward I-890/Schenectady/RT-7/RT-146 onto I-890.
Travel west on 890 for 2.4 miles to Exit 7.
Exit at Exit 7 – Rt. 7 (Troy).
