Eddy Senior Living invites you to join us as we welcome Debra Trees, Au.D. to Beechwood in Troy NY on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Join us from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm as Debra gives an informative presentation on the topic of audiology.
Many people may not know that changes can occur to the bones inside of our ears that often affect the way we hear things as we age. During her presentation, Debra will explore the topic of audiology and attendees will learn more about the different types of hearing loss that can occur as we age.
More About Debra Trees
Debra Trees, Au.D. is the Audiology Supervisor at St. Peter’s Health Partners and has been there for 29 years. She has provided diagnostics and treatment for people of all ages, including pediatrics as well as difficult to test adults and children. She received her doctorate from Central Michigan University/Vanderbilt, her Masters from Syracuse University and Bachelors from the College of St. Rose, Albany, NY.
Debra is a member of the Capital Area Speech and Hearing Association (CASHA), the New York State Speech, Language and Hearing Association (NYSSLHA), the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and has received the Distinguished Service Award from CASHA. She has presented annually through various groups for several years, and is actively involved with the Albany Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America. Debra also mentors graduate interns from St. Rose on a regular basis.
Debra has consulted in a variety of practice settings and has published research and descriptive articles. She is presently working on the publication of an online continuing education program for nurses and nursing staff with Advantedge Learning.
