Lake George Battleground Campground- Lake George
Just a quarter mile south of the Village of Lake George is the Lake George Battleground Campground. Perfect for those who want to spend some time enjoying the charm of the town, the grounds feature 10 accessible sites with a unisex bathhouse. The grounds host a multitude of great activities, like boating, fishing, hiking and swimming.
West River Road Boat Launch- Moreau
For those looking for an accessible place to boat or fish, West River Boat Launch is for you! Located right off Route 9 and Reynolds Rd., this launch leads to the Hudson River. It’s a great place to launch kayaks and canoes if you’re not yet a boat owner. Or, set up a pole and fish while taking in the beautiful views of the Hudson River if you’re opting to stay on dry land.
Saratoga Spa State Park- Saratoga Springs
Those familiar with the Saratoga Springs area tend to know this spot extremely well, but did you know how accessible it is? There are enough activities to go around for the family with limited mobility. Saratoga Spa State Park boasts handicap accessible bathrooms, zero-entry pools, paved and low-impact hiking paths, and an entire pavilion that can host a picnic for the whole family when you’re done with your physical activities.
